Where possible, we collect Personal Information directly from the individual to whom it relates.  We may collect Personal Information as agents on behalf of our clients where we or they have obtained the necessary consent.  We may also collect Personal Information from third parties in the course of providing professional legal services or for legal, administrative, or marketing purposes.

  • If a client provides us with Personal Information for the purpose of enabling us to provide the client with professional legal services
  • If we are investigating the breach of an agreement, a legal duty or contravention of law and obtaining consent would compromise the investigation or accuracy of the information
  • If we are required to do so pursuant to a subpoena, summons or order issued by a court or other adjudicative body

We may enter into arrangements with service providers, agents, contractors or third parties that provide administrative or other services related to the services we provide to our clients.  Where it is necessary to disclose Personal Information to service providers for these purposes, we limit their use of the Personal Information to the services they provide to us, and require them to maintain confidentiality and protect the security of the Personal Information.
